Each year, millions of "so called" unwanted babies die before they ever take their first breath. The majority of these children would be born healthy babies, full of joy, if we had let God's childbirth process take it's course. Jesus loves little children (Matthew 19:14). The Bible makes it clear that abortion is wrong in the eyes of God (Hosea 9:14). Jeremiah 2:34-35 says:"Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these. Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me." |
This prophetic passage written some 3000 years ago describes well the situation with abortion in the United States, it is no longer done in secret as in times past. Some have convinced themselves that they are innocent and that there is nothing wrong with abortion. But the fact remains, we will face the anger of God Almighty for our wrong doings. For those who are children of God, we have an advocate in heaven. God's own son Jesus has told us that if we confess our sins, he is will forgive us of all wrongdoing and cleanse us (1 John 1:9). If we as a nation will turn to God, humble ourselves, and pray, that he will heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14) |
However, for those who have not placed their trust in Jesus, their eternity will be one of damnation. (John 5:25-29) Truly, this is the day and the hour to stop the killing of babies. Romans 8:6 says: "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." |
